Dr. Lybrand and his wife (Jody) of 40 years homeschooled their 5 children from birth to college, where they all excelled in academics and community (University of Texas & Abilene Christian).       I’m not a big fan of these “resolutions” either because it does become a sort of rule and you don’t want to break it. I feel like that insights stress etc. However i do have college resolutions but i agree with you i don’t make things dramatic and stresful. My question is, what if my closes friend is very “resolutionist” guy. Is there anyway i could help him out?

        Just keep cheering for your friend and invite them to see if it works for them in reality. Usually we can eventually notice that making a vow is a stressor. So much easier to simply say, “Here’s what I’m working on this year…”
